The weather in Austin, these past few weeks, has been everything but inline with what we'd expect with the Fall season. On average, i think the temperature has been right at 90 degrees. Not your typical mid October weather, that's for sure. So, i figured it would be a good time to write about transitional pieces for your wardrobe.
In times when the weather can be unpredictable or isn't typical to the season, its important to have pieces in your wardrobe that provide balance. These pieces will help with the transition into the new season (whenever that comes) and still look dapper. Think about it like this, you want to incorporate warm weather pieces with your go to cool weather pieces.
Take for instance what i am wearing today. I have paired an Ivory Italian cotton pair of pants, i typically reserve for summer weather, with a light weight gray blazer and button down. This outfit is perfect for that cool to warm temperature (if that makes sense) and can be worn outside or inside. The blazer is extremely light weight and soft, but can be taken off if the weather gets too hot. Today, it was perfect for the morning breeze, but was taken off in the afternoon when the temperature rose.
It can be tricky dressing during the transitional time between seasons, but having pieces like this light weight blazer is crucial. I've received a lot of feedback on this blazer and am thinking of carrying it in my online store. Keep an eye out for that coming soon.
