Versatility

Versatility

When building my wardrobe, I first focused on acquiring pieces that would provide the most versatility. Pieces that I could mix and match with what I currently had as well as with what I planned to get in the future. This particular suit I am wearing today is a wool, navy, plaid three piece (not wearing vest this time) that I regularly break up for diverse looks.

This suit is hands down my go to for multiple occasions and I highly recommend one similar for every man’s wardrobe.  You can’t go wrong with a single breasted, light weight, slim fitting Navy.  The versatility is just about limitless and you’ll love the different looks you can get from just one suit.

Since its still over 90 degrees every day in Austin, I decided to wear a light weight, Italian cotton, white shirt under my suit.  I paired the look with classic white kicks and a few accessories.  This simple, yet dapper look will surely stand out at your company happy hour or date night.

For me, I like keeping my looks simple and clean, but bold enough to make a statement.  However, a navy suit like this could be paired with a wide array of colors and business shirts. But if you are just starting your wardrobe, then you can’t go wrong with classic white shirts.

Keep an eye out for a future post where I’ll show you how to rock the vest without the suit.  Stay tuned…
