First Day of Fall
September 22nd marks the first official day of fall in 2016. Soon we can expect the leaves to fall and cooler temperatures, but for now the sun is still blazing. With that being said, I am not ready to bring out the deeper and darker colors appropriate for the season.
Today, I am spending much of my time outside, so I wanted to make sure my clothing choices were light and breathable. I decided to wear a light blue jean paired with a white fitted button down. The rolled up sleeves and classic white kicks keep the look casual, but also helps me stay cool.
This is a great look for a casual setting or every day streetwear. The right accessories can also add to the look. Since I am working off my laptop today, I brought my light brown Ted Baker messenger bag. A good messenger is a must have in every man's closet. I've had this piece for over 5 years and it only gets better with age.
When going for the untucked button down look, it's important to keep an eye on the length of your shirt. A long shirt can look messy at times and a short one will rise on you causing a very uncomfortable experience. When being measured for my shirts, I typically choose a length that will sit where my wrist begins (I have long arms, so this may not be the best measurement for everyone). This provides me the flexibility to tuck my shirt in for a more professional look or have it tucked out for that casual weekend look. I am more of a tucked in type of guy, but on occasion I'll rock the untucked look (like today).
